I am the second
of four children born to Earl and Anna in 1945. As a young adult
I accompanied my parents on six Holy Land trips. Beverly
and Dad produced over 20 multimedia slide presentations depicting
our travels. Dad provided the narration and Beverly and I correlated
the slides with music. The presentations were shown in many churches
in the area as well as other states.
Upon graduating from college, I began my first year of my teaching
career. After teaching second grade for 1 year, I then was hired
as a third grade teacher and taught that grade until 1972. I then
transferred to the new school where continued to teach until 2003.
I have taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grades as well as the Gifted and
Talented students and was the Computer Lab Teacher.
I was awarded the Governor's Teacher of the Year Award in 1985
and the local Teacher of the Year in 1988. I was inducted
into the "Who's Who Among America's Teachers" in 1992.
I attend the Assembly of God Church in where I am active in the
music ministry. I play the piano and sometimes the organ for the
worship services.
